My boyfriend was attending VMI at the time, whom later died after leaving the school in a car accident. I will never forget the night I was driving around town by myself and ran into some old friends of mine from Fredericksburg, which is hours away. They just happened to be walking down the street of Lexington, which was incredibly bizarre encounter but I was happy to see friends. Later that evening, we took a ride in the jeep through the cemetery. Half way through, suddenly all of us heard something approaching us from the rear, getting louder and louder, and closer, till everyone in the jeep began screaming GO! GO!!! At the top of their lungs. I hit the gas and accelerated while I could feel something on us, it was soldiers, yelling and charging us. Almost with this echo in the mist. Like time was distorted around us.. When I got out into the street it was suddenly silence. It all stopped. Every one of us was shook to the absolute core. Our jaws dropped,we were all shaking. All four of us in the jeep were scared for our lives. From something we couldn't see but all felt and heard. We agreed to never try to tell anyone what happened to us that night. This was the year 1999. I will never, ever forget it.
