This was a fun haunt. We had to skip 2 sections because one was too low and because one was too tight (claustrophobia) but the actors helped us around those sections with ease. Lots of screams and laughing - it was great fun! Part fun house and part haunted house, this was a great value for its price if $20.

My family and friend came down to visit buccees and enjoy a nice haunted attraction. We got a recommendation from our hotel staff this one was less scary due to my friend being able to take anything scary but still wanted to enjoy holloween. As soon as we got out of the car the scare began and we knew maybe it wasn't a good idea for our friend but continued, from the very beginning the staff could see our friend was pretty scared so they eased up and she started enjoying herself as soon as we entered the maze we had to turn back cause she got way to scared as soon as this happened the staff stopped and turned on a light and helped guide us out they were so nice and understanding and stayed with our friend to comfort her while we decided to continue on we will definitely we back there are some tight and short spaces which was challenging for myself but we got through it and especially when we found out they were somewhat short staff the experience didnt disappoint cant wait to see how it is when all the staff is there next year thank u everyone for such a great experience.

All the actors was amazing, they scared us multiple times and it was amazing. Their costumes was so scary cool and especially the emotional support clown. He was the best especially when he got my bestie with the box. I loved how the entire maze was difficult but fun and I loved how everything was creepy like amazingly creepy. Definitely coming back again next year and the year after. Keep it up and the tshirts looked amazing for the new design. The actors was creepy enough but still so scary cool. Loved how everything looked.

From the sets to the actors and the layout, this was the best haunt I’ve been to in Virginia. The length of time spent navigating the haunt was well worth the price of admission, and it was a fun time. I would highly recommend this place to others, and am looking forward to coming back next year!

Took my oldest son for his first haunted house experience and it ended up being my favorite ever! The characters are top notch, the different phases of the house really are exceptional, and it really is fun! My son was terrified and walked out ready to do it again!

What an amazing haunted house! The actors did an amazing job of scaring and guiding you through the maze inside. My husband and I enjoyed all the details that were put in to making the experience scary, eerie and spooky. We both had such a great time and will be telling everyone we know about it. Thank you for putting together such a spectacular haunted house, we will absolutely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

First time visiting but won't be the last. The scares started only a few steps from the parking lot, setting the stage for what was to come. Every twist and turn, every corner, every new room was full of creepiness, scares, and top notch decorations and actors. So fun! Highly recommend!

We went last weekend and the line was long but moved pretty fast. The creepy clown kept us entertained and even gave my terrified son a little Halloween toy, which helped. The haunt itself was as good as ever! Took probably half an hour to go through. Only complaint is there were way too many kids with chainsaws running around outside. It's scary for a minute but gets old and annoying when they just keep going at you.

The line walking in was fun with scare actors and characters having fun. The woman at the front of the line actually works at the museum and has for years. She gave us the history of the whole place and told us all about the maintenance man that puts it all together and was so nice. Then when we went inside we were checked in and then the haunt began. It was awesome you look around at the floats all cast in lights and sounds then have jump actors scaring along the way. The effects with the wind, sound , fog and everything just made it over the top. Of all the haunts we have been to this was definitely the best most put together experience we have had. Oh and it takes about 20 to 30 mins to walk thru so it feels like such a good experience for the money and makes it worth it.

American Fright Night is absolutely terrifying—in the best possible way. The entire setup is incredibly well done, from the detailed sets to the perfectly timed scares. The volunteers pour their hearts into every moment, making the experience both thrilling and immersive.
The outdoor section is scary as hell and brilliantly designed to engage all your senses. They don’t just rely on jump scares—wind, heat, cold, sound, and even smell are used to manipulate the environment and keep you completely on edge. It’s one of the most immersive haunted experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for anyone looking to be truly scared this Halloween season!

My husband and I were in the area celebrating our 9 year anniversary. We had bought tickets for the Shenandoah Caverns earlier in the day and had also purchased tickets for the Haunted House.
It was scarier then expected.
Every one was very nice and accommodating.
It was larger than we expected and offered all of the different things that normally scare people as you move from section/room to room through the maze! This was awesome and helped add to the scare factor.
We'd definitely recommend this place and come back if we lived closer, as we live in Maine.
Maybe another year.

This haunted house was HUGE! It had tons of amazing decorations and there were actors around every corner scaring people. It didn't take us 30-40 mins to go through, however. It was more like 15 mins. But the group we were with were moving fast (and we had to keep up), so I'm sure it may take some groups that long. Patty, a very kind and lovely lady we met earlier at the Shenedoah Caverns, was the witch at the door. She actually remembered me and my wife and gave us quite an unexpected scare when leading us into the building. Highly recommend!

We went opening night and it was everything we could want in a haunted experience and more!! The actors are in great costumes and makeup. The rooms are well thought out and decorated. It takes about 30 minutes to get through and the groups are spaced out so we didn't see anyone else while we were in the area. We definitely got turned around and hit a few dead ends (its harder than you might think!!) Plenty of scares!! Shout out to the chain saw man and the outside clown with his toy box!!

If you’re debating which haunted house to go to this year, the one at American Celebration on Parade is the way to go. They have actual floats used in the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving parade and those don’t sound scary…. But some are pretty creepy in real life, with the lights and sound effects. They had multiple sheet mazes, a cage maze, mirror maze, and lots of hidden doors that are the way through the maze. The whole thing is a maze, at one point we crawled through a giant deep freezer. They do have these mega inflated puffs that squeeze you when walking through, no jump scared there thankfully. I recommend putting your hair up for that one. It is all indoors besides the line to get in. For those with asthma, they do have a part with heavy fog but if you mention something before hand or to the actors they’ll lead you right through to a bunch of fans where you can breathe easier. Honestly it was the longest haunted house I’ve been to, took about an hour and more than worth the $20 ticket price. If you’re going to multiple this year, I would save this one as the last one because it is the best. Great job guys!

this is the 2nd time I have been to this show in the last 3 years and both time have been absolutely incredible.
The museum serves as a perfect venue for setting up the haunted displays and the organizer of the event has an incredible imagination and does a fabulous job every year. The actors should be congratulated also and were outstanding.
This should be rated the best in the state.

Our group found out about this haunt while at the caverns next door. We didn’t know what to expect as we thought it would just be a little community haunt that would be a good laugh for the night. Well it was way bigger than we expected. Great layout and scenes! The use of the museum stuff was genius! Out of the two haunts we went to last night, this BY FAR as the better of the two! We've been to all the local haunts and this one is definitely the best! It's HUGE and has it all: jump scares, gore, mazes, funhouse effects and great actors. The goblin in front was great with all the kids in line. Been here many times and will keep coming back!

I liked this haunted house. They put a lot of work into it and made use of the parade materials that were already there. The parade floats added a lot of spookiness and they had a lot of great props. There were mazes and jump scares. It did take about 20-25 minutes to get through the haunted house, so there is plenty to see!

This haunted house met and exceeded all expectations. I’ve been wanting to visit for a while now and I’m so glad I finally did. I took my 12 year old daughter and her friend and they loved it so much. We were all sad when it was over, but I appreciate how long of an experience you get for your money. The mazes were set up well, the decorations were phenomenal, and the scare actors were top tier. The costumes and characters were great but what was awesome is that while staying in character they were helpful in moving us through the maze as well while I was getting confused. This will be a yearly tradition now and we CANNOT WAIT to return!

Visiting from Florida, where we have big money haunted houses (universal Halloween horror nights), I thought it’d just be a fun way to spend a little time, low expectations.
But it was great! I’d even say better than universal. It’s not just a quick walk thru haunted house, it’s an experience. Took about 30 minutes to go thru. The setup and detail was great. Lots of unique experiences tied into the scary aspect of it. Not just your jump and scare, but some good mind games and physical obstacles. Highly recommend.

Sheet maze was awful. I enjoyed the parade floats in the background more than the haunted house. There was nothing very scary. I’ve been to many haunted attractions and this was my least favorite.

I go to many haunts. Wait better than Hallow Scream at Bush gardens, which used to be my favorite. Great actors and makeup, friendly atmosphere, great time!

His is a big building and it takes about 30 minutes to go through. Lots of creativity and scares all the way through. We will definitely make this one an annual event. I highly recommend American Fright Night.

This is the third time my wife and I have been through the American fright night and we brought our son this year for his first time. We love how everything is different each year and it seems to be getting better and better every year. Just when you think they can't top the scares, you go the next year and it is better and scarier. I have and will always recommend this haunted house to everybody I meet!

Was taken here as a surprise gift and it did not disappoint! It was my 1st time in Virginia and this will def be a memorable moment! A lot of jump scares, twists and turns, and an awesome maze we almost couldn’t get out of lol. Well Done Guys! Oh! And got got chased around the parking lot by a guy in a mask holding a chain saw!!? That was awesome and terrifying!

A lot of scary actors should get Academy Awards. The guy with the nasty underwear grossed everyone out. Lots of fun, creepy people following us inside. However, at the end with the stuff hanging down, it was more fun house than haunted house. Our group was so done with that by the time we pushed out way out of there. I had to go home and take a shower because I thought of all the hundreds of other people squeezing through those hanging barriers before we did. Yucchh!

Some areas were scary with great props but there were too many curtains/blankets and maze type stuff. I wanted a haunted house not just dirty blankets touching me that had touched a million other people… need more scary items and not so many time fillers.

We had SO much fun! Super scary, lots of different rooms and themes. Super impressed with the cleverness and ingenuity of the mazes and setups. I genuinely shrieked and ran. I don't live in-state, but I would definitely come back again! I also appreciated how they spaced out the groups for a more authentic experience. I've been to many other haunted houses at theme parks where they just shove you through in over-crowded groups.

Great job turning that huge building into a haunted house! Literally one of the best I’ve ever been in! I loved the actors! Loved the scenery’s! Loved the mazes, especially the last one! Just great theatrics overall!
I’m just sad I don’t live closer to experience that every year!

Lived everything about it the clown and scream in the padded room made me and my friend run back to the room behind us and then out the house I lost so many feathers from my costume they were amazing and his clown laugh sent chills up my spine

I have never been to any "Haunted House" place/event in my life. Not even in my childhood years. But what an awesome first impression this place gave me! I scare pretty easily, so the actors/staff probably didn't have too hard a time to Jumpstart me haha, but the whole walk through was very dark/spooky! I can't imagine the hours that went in to setting up everything. From the maze (I even got stuck once or twice and had to backtrack haha), to the different scenes and set ups. It was all very well done. I came with some of my coworkers and my fella and all of us had an amusing time and got jumpsacred not just from the actors, but also some of the well placed animatronics. Well worth going to! Can't wait till next year!

This place was huge & had every kind of scare possible. The lighting they did made the normal parade displays super creepy. The way they turned Christmas displays from sweet to murderous was genius! The actors were all on point! I don't get scared easily but they made me jump quite a few times. Also, the guy playing Hannibal Lecter gave me goose bumps! There are aspects of traditional fun houses in there (mirrors & a spinning room), so there was something for everyone. There are some dark maze sections, so bring friends to help you get through!

Lots of small themed areas. Employees/volunteers were clearly VERY passionate about what they were doing. You could just tell they were enjoying what they were doing.
Some pretty tense areas where you could get lost-- dead ends in a maze-like chamber. This made navigation of the chambers actually important-- you couldn't just walk through from the beginning to the end.
Most importantly, to me, the "haunt" didn't rely solely on making you jump. It felt much more atmospherically terrifying to me, which is what I (and my poor heartrate) prefer

Me and my daughter have been going every year since it started!! We went last night and it was amazing!! I love the incorporation of the outdoors! With a full moon it was absolutely perfect!! My husband and I just got married the weekend before over at the Yellow Barn! We were told about it that weekend and were so excited to go! We haven’t came before and I’m so glad we did! It was so much fun and the actors really were amazing!! Definitely worth and should totally go if you get the chance! :)

Won our tickets on the radio and we were so happy it brought us out to Freight Night! One of the best haunted attractions I’ve been to in a long time! We took our 10 & 12 yos and they haven’t stopped talking about how scary it was but how much fun it was. Even I had so much to say. I would absolutely recommend this attraction. Loved Patty too! The cast and employees were great!

The huge Barney was the best thing yet! Also the guy with the giant tubes on his arms got me and my girlfriend pretty good- Friday night. The outside is pretty neat but many houses have that.

Picked up a flyer for this Haunted House and so glad I did! We went the first night it was open and had a great time. Got to meet and talk with Kathy the owner…very nice lady. We had 8 in our group from age 5 up to 77. Our family loves Halloween and Haunted Houses and have been to hundreds of them, this is definitely in the top 10!

All I can say is WOOOWWW! This haunted house is the best one I have been to in 5 years and I’m from Myrtle beach/travel in our RV. From the amazing decor to the themes all throughout, I was 100% thrilled and wish we lived around here to go again and again!
I spoke with Patty and the owner as well as some of the other workers and you can truly feel how their hearts are in it and they love what they do! The story from the owner really touched me and I loved every second of being there! Thank you for a hauntingly amazing time from standing in line to finishing the house! #1 for sure! 🙌🏼

We drove from Pa last year for the Freight Night and it was so good we had to come back this year with more people. Everyone had a great time. Takes about 45 minutes to walk thru. Lots of great props lots of actors lots of scares. Loved it

My family & I have been to quite a few haunted houses & I'd have to say this has by far been the scariest one yet. We were all scared throughout the whole haunt until we got off the property. It even had me scared after I got home. I was cautious with every move around my house until the next day. If your into haunted houses & want a great scare then I'd recommend this haunted attraction way over any others out there!!! It was by far the best haunted house our family has ever been to.

5 Stars for Fright Night at Shenandoah Caverns as this has to be the Most Entertaining Haunt We have been to in Years that won't leave you, or your Kids with Nightmares. While there are many Haunts out there that strive to be the most Gruesome, Scariest, and Bloodiest, Fright Night is Just what it should be. Thrilling, Adventurous and Fun with plenty of Surprises and Laughs for all ages.

I can't believe the amount of work that went into this year's Fright Night at Shenandoah Caverns. They really upped their game over past years. From the confusing mazes, the use of lighting (and sometimes complete lack of lighting) to the wall that literally started closing in on us, the physical setup was impressive. I particularly liked the disorienting tunnel that made us feel like the room was turning on its side. The all volunteer staff members were friendly, helpful and, where appropriate terrifying! At $18 per person, we all felt weed gotten out moneys worth. Kudos to the Fright Night crew for providing an entertaining experience.

"American Fright Night" made our first vacation to the area one we will never forget. As a true spooky pleasure-seeker I can confidently say the efforts done by the staff, actors, and anyone involved, curated an experience that stands alone and above the rest. Going to see their parade exhibits made me think - "Wow, these would really be something to see with the lights off!" And boy did it exceed expectation. The lighting, decoration, choreography, planning, and more were all done to an expert level and truly gave us a unique, memorable night that is hard to put into so many words. I will gladly make the 3+ hour drive again next year to do it again. (And shout-out to Patty who made the extra effort to make our night special.)

Unique fun house / haunted house experience! Great scare value for the money. The laser room, spinning tunnel and ghost in the dark room were worth the entrance fee! Not everything is scary but it gives you a needed break between screams!

Surprisingly awesome haunted... place. Lots of screams and scares. And some wacko with a chain saw. You have gotta see this one. Might be too scary for kids under 7 or 8 years old...

We really enjoyed this and it was worth the drive. Prices better than many other experiences that cost twice the price. Took us more than 30 minutes to walk through.

It was a great experience. I had a lot of fun. The only part I was really scared of was the clowns and the maze at the end of the haunted house.

This is one of the best haunted houses. We started going to this haunt last year and we always come back as it’s one of the few that make us scream.

This haunted house gets better every year! Lots of jump scares, dark mazes, special effects, and creepy characters to scare the bejeebers out of you!

This was an awesome hunted house, there could be more guidance a lot if people got lost. My group got lost for 15 minutes. Everyone was fantastic!

What a fabulous haunted house! A mixture of scary and fun come together to make a wonderful nostalgic experience! Great for kids ages 10 and up, adults will absolutely love it too. A Must see.

Me and my daughter started going the year this started and we have been going back every year! This year has definitely been the best so far! Can't wait to see what they have planned for next year!

Had a lot of fun going thru. 40,000 sq ft so it takes a while to get thru which is a good thing. Great props but like someone else commented they need a few more actors and it would be perfect. You walk a long way at the end with no scares. So many places to hide and jump out and get the screams. Other than that l loved it.

This was one amazing attraction. Very large, and spacious they definitely put a lot of work and a lot of time into making this a haunted house to remember. The actors did amazing especially with all the guidelines, I am sure they have to follow COVID. The freezer hands down was my favorite part. A lot of good scares. I highly recommend this one, anyone looking for a good fright! Especially the price, much cheaper than others I been too, and worth every penny.

Was pretty scary and a lot of fun. They're trying their best to be COVID friendly but some of the actors are not complying...maybe because they can't with their costumes but it's still a little worrisome.

You can tell that a lot of thought, hard work and creativity went into this haunted house set among larger than life parade floats, which seem eerie in the dark not to mention the many other spooky sets and props! The actors are great too! This is well worth your time and money!!

It’s a great haunted house!!!! It’s extremely Covid friendly ( wide passages). It has a feel of a old fun house theme mixed with a haunted house. The actors are great, definitely has the scare factor, by far one of my favorites well worth the money.....

I loved the decor for this attraction. It’s beautifully decorated and arranged for easy walking through it. While this was awesome and well worth the visit. They need more actors with more enthusiasm. So much potential and so many places for more jump scares but they just didn’t seem to have enough help. It’s affordable though.
