My wife and I love going here. They put a lot of work into it every year. Even change it up some as well. Definitely a good scare by some good people.

We love going here every year. Each year has new scary fun things to see. It’s a great time and the staff is also awesome great snacks at the concession as well. I don’t get scared and it was a few scares around every corner. My kids loved it too.

Our group of seven had an unforgettable time at Pappy’s Haunted Trails! From the moment we booked our tickets online, the process was smooth and hassle-free. Upon arrival, I simply gave my name and was promptly handed our attraction tickets—no long lines, no confusion, just friendly efficiency.
🍔 Concessions & Hospitality:
The concession area was a pleasant surprise—plenty of tasty options at fair prices. Everything we tried was delicious, and the staff at every station—from ticketing to food trucks to attraction guides—were genuinely kind and welcoming. Their warmth added a comforting contrast to the spooky thrills ahead!
🌽 Attractions:
- Corn Labyrinth: A fun challenge, even with the map in hand—we were delightfully lost and laughing the whole way through!
- Dark Path: True to its name, it was pitch black and eerie, setting the perfect tone for suspense.
- Fear Trail: The absolute highlight! Every one of us got spooked at some point, and it kept us on edge in the best way possible.
🎯 Extras & Atmosphere:
We loved the free family games in the concession area—great for keeping everyone entertained between attractions. Parking was plentiful, and the string lights along the fenced area helped guide us in. One small suggestion: a sign placed a bit earlier along the road would make it easier to spot the entrance.

Scary trails, you need to do them all , don't be scared it's great time. The creepers in the woods are fantastic. Get some of the goodies at the treat trailer. Fried nutter butters , oreos, uncrustables, funnel cakes, and much more. Yes we tried it all. We go every year since it started always a good time. Staff are wonderful and all volunteer just to make sure everyone has a good time. So get off your pumpkin, hop on your broom and go get spooked!

All the trails are fun and exciting. Corn maze is alot of fun. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. They want you to have a great experience. If you are waiting on a group they have a fire and corn hole boards and plenty of seating. And of course you have to go try the delicious treats at the concession trailer. Fried oreos, nutter butters,funnel cakes, deep fried Carmel apples ,nachos,drinks and more! Get the whole package for all the trails it's the best deal! They also have bathrooms in case you need to change your pants.

The price was pretty good. If you wanted to do all three trails, there was a discount. That was totally cool. I also talked to one of the workers and she indicated they were all volunteers to work the trails.
What a great workforce they had. There were three trails and we did all three. The corn maze was first. I thought it would be just a corn maze. Nope. There was some scary in there too. It was very dark in a lot of places so following a "trail" was sometimes difficult but we made it out. Not in the right area but we did make it out. The second trail we did had some was a little more scarier but better guidance of where you needed to go was obvious. The third trail was the main attraction and that was more scarier than the second. We totally enjoyed the whole experience and I treated myself to some warm apple cider afterwards. Thank you for great time!

The Feature Trail is very creative and well done in my opinion. Meatman said I looked delicious and I'm sad I couldn't get his number because flattery works on me, for real.
The Dark Trail and Corn Maze could use a little more variety however.

Took my 6 year old son, and he was definitely afraid! It was awesome! Everyone in costume was in character and Michael Myers even shook his hand to make him stop crying! He wants to go back again!

The food was so good, fried apples, lemonade, and the deep fried uncrustables were to die for!! The corn maze had my heart pounding I thought it would be easy but I ended up wondering if I would make it out I kept forgetting which way I had already went. And the trail 😳 I was drenched with sweat and crying.. I want to go back but I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish the trail this time. Do yourself a favor and check out pappy’s!!!

It was a very nice experience. The corn maze was definitely the best maze I’ve ever been too. You can tell a lot of hard work and craftsmanship went into creating this event. It’s a great addition to southern Virginia.

This experience was so much fun. We went last year and this came and brought our children. They loved it can’t wait to go again soon and maybe even join in on the scaring one day. Also they had a concession area with really nice cozy hang out area to sit rest and enjoy a snack between trails. It’s definitely on our tradition activity list for every October. Also all the staff are very friendly and down to earth. Very family friendly

First to start with i know that it wasn't real, but those chainsaws got me. Really scary stuff!
It was a lot of fund and am looking forward to doing it again next year.

They had it set up very well… & a great experience! Very realistic character. It’s was worth the the experience… it was scary when stuff jump out at you. Really enjoyed what y’all put together. I laughed so much at the group I was with.

Pappy's haunted trails is fun for anyone who likes haunted houses and a spooky time. Each trail was fun and exciting! This is a great place to check out especially if you’re in the lake Gaston area!

This is an overall charming experience. Very spooky, very country, and often more cute than scary. Good for younger kids. The trails are pretty short, and don’t take long to walk, so they won’t wear your family out. There’s a nice area to hang out afterwards with benches, fire pits, and a concession stand. It’s a good introduction to such attractions for younger kids.

Went there tonight with my family and had a great time. The actors did an excellent job and the costumes were amazing. I have to use a handicap scooter and had no problem moving along the trail. We highly recommend Pappy’s haunted trail to everyone. You won’t be disappointed

My family went opening night. As with anything the first night was a little slow starting and we were one of the first one the trail, however; I wasnt disappointed once it started flowing it didn't stop. The makeup was fantastic. The props were very thought out. My family went down the feature trail. My four year old of course wanted to go. So I decided to let him. I will say he handled it well, however; I can imagine some kids might not handle it as well. So if your kid is easily scared I wouldn't recommend
for them because there was points through the trail, that the jump scares actually got me! I didn't get to experience the rest of trails however; I'm sure they are just as good. Upon entering the feature trail there was little games set up that my kid really enjoyed where you could win a ticket to the concession. Afterwards, we enjoyed the funnel cakes and fried oreos which were delicious. While outside of the trails, the atmosphere was very welcoming and fun. If you are in the area you should see for yourself!

I went last Friday. Wasn't sure what to expect as I had just finished cardiac rehab and still not 100% heart wise. ( This was my way to celebrate)The paths were easy to walk and the scare team did an amazing job. They scared good while being very respectful to guest. My family and I had an absolute blast and plan to go again before Halloween. Oh and the fried oreos and funnel cakes are delicious 😋 definitely worth checking out and adding to your fall tradition
