Our 2025 took you back to the early 1900's with the Holloway Twins in their old Victorian House that had secret passages and ghosts everywhere.
Our crazy Cue Line CarnEVIL was crazy to say the least, then the old Victorian-style indoor Haunted House and the all-new Haunted Hayride, "Harvest of Shadows," took you for a ride through a haunted barn.
Dead Whispers - Haunted Attraction, situated at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds in Virginia, is the ultimate destination for thrill-seekers. With Hollywood-level production, live actors, and a variety of attractions, we have set the standard for haunted houses on the East Coast.
Our Haunts supports Musicians and Veterans with Disabilities through the Bill Carroll Foundation (www.BillCarrollFoundation.org). You'll help fund our programs, spread awareness, and deliver our Mobile Immersive Educational Recording Studio (www.IMERS.Education) to the local schools, Veterans, private students, and organizations that we support.
Our Foundation's built-in Design and Production Team has developed our Haunted Attraction with the help of people with all levels of disabilities. For more info please visit our website for full information.
Hours of Operation: 6pm - 10pm or whomever is last in line. Sunday October 26th 2025, is an additional "kid-friendly" Haunt from Noon til 4pm.
Admission Costs: 2025 Admission Prices: At The Gate - $20 for Children up to 8 yrs of age. $25 for anyone over 8 yrs of age. ONLINE: $15 for Children up to 8 yrs of age. $20 for anyone over 8 yrs of age.

Overall this haunted house was done really well. Only thing we didn't think that was as good as the house was the hay ride. Definitely fell short of anything super cool like the inside house but I did ask when we got off the ride where all of the actors were. I thought we were supposed to have a chainsaw guy and other creepers inside the barn. It wasn't too bad, I just expected a little more because the inside main attraction was over the top! Wow. Food trucks were good, GREAT picture of us taken in the front of the line that we bought and just overall had a good time with the family. Until next year!

This Haunted house didn't fall short of detail, thats for sure and the biggest surprise was the twins at the end of the house. We didn't expect them to be actual people too, just seeing them throughout the house as ghosts was crazy enough but at the end when they were full size actual people, OMG!!!!!!! and that living doll??? Are you kidding me??!! Wow what detail too and I've GOT to see what these people do next year! Yikes!

Fairgrounds Haunted House
I was skeptical about going to a fairgrounds for a haunted house but i sure was surprised at the level of this attraction. My favorite was the killer clown guy with the crazy voice and he really creeped us out. Then we got inside and my girlfriend dropped to the floor and i think she pee'd herself in this crazy long hallway. We gotta go again!

Much better than last year
Short and sweet here. Last year was good but omg this year was over the top. We were scared more than one spot and that living doll person was wild. I wouldve sworn she wasnt real but when she moved and followed us i felt my heart race. Wowee. Really hope its back again. Do we have to wait a whole other year?

Wish it was longer
The amazing haunted house at the fairgrounds this year was nothing short of incredible BUT, we do wish it was longer because I know we missed a lot because of being scared so much so we asked if we could go through it again and they said YES! We couldn't have been happier because we really wanted to see all of the effects and really look at each room. I think my wife pee'd herself in that crazy hallway with the moving lights. That was very scary and they got her good.

Going through again this year was such a treat for my family and I as we were wondering what they were going to do this year and wow were we very happy. We lvoe going to haunted houses and this year Kings Dominion was not a place we wanted to go with all of the jacked up pricing they were doing so we wanted to find other local haunts. Thanks for putting on such a fun thmed house this year with this crazy walking backwards character in the lasers, the human sized doll really freaked us out and the cemetary with those two girsl was not what we were expecting and they got us good! thanks for another great haunted house and can't wait to see you all next year!

Email Verified Couldn't believe my ears
So we went to the Haunted House at the fairgrounds thinking it was a typical haunted house much like the rest of the ones we go to and wow were we surprised to hear and see quite the difference! Just standing in the line waiting to go in we could hear some crazy sounds coming from within the house and someone got themselves so scared in line next to us from all what was happening that they lost there lunch right in front of us! We couldn't believe it! So going through the house we just loved the decorated rooms. They were like out of a movie or something. extremely scary because you didn't know what to expect going around a corner and there were many of them! Yikes! It was overall very fun, scary and just loved the old vintage furniture and props they all used. Can't wait to see what they do for next year!

Needs to be Longer!! Very Scary!!
I came the first weekend on a Saturday with my son. Very dark. Creepy sounds. The long was wrapped around the building. But the line was so worth it. The doll room is so creepy. Loved the girl who played the doll. We got to the clown room I guess and my son got scared by one of the clowns sliding across the room. There was another clown around the corner who was also creepy. We has such a blast. We came back the following weekend with friends. Everyone loved it!! Thank you so much for the scares!!. Best haunt I been to in a long time!!

Ummm What?
The anticipation was killing us in line when all we heard coming from the "house" was guest screams. We KNEW it had to be good if that was going on the whole time we were waiting in line. Well, we weren't wrong. Loved the Rules of the House 1st room, themed out beautifully with this very old cool looking pump organ that looked like it came out of a horror movie. I even asked to take a picture of it before they told us that we had to put our cell phones away, lol. The rest of the house didn't leave us bored at all! We went this past Sat night which was the last day and as we were walking slowly through, we kept hearing all kinds of scary sounds coming from everywhere. The swamp room was my favorite and the dolls were everyone else's favorite because of the detail to the decorations and the dolls themselves. There are some twisted minds on that crew! The actor there too was funny yet creepy at the same time, wow! Can't wait to see what they come up with next year!! Keep up the great work!

This was super scary and fun! The maze was dark and disorienting which made the whole thing exciting with a constant sense of foreboding that didn’t go away until you came out at the end. The whole staff was amazing and really made the experience unforgettable.

Best haunted house I've seen.
It was really good. Scary from the beginning to the end. The actors/actress did an amazing job. The attention to details also added to the experience. Hats off to the crew for putting this together. Definitely a must see if you like to get scared 😱.

Best Local Attraction
I’ve been to a lot of local scare attractions.. this one is by far the best and got a lot of reaction from me. Definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a good scare!

They're Baaaack
When I saw that the Producers of Dead Whispers was back I got real excited and had to tell everyone who went with me through their haunted house last time. Holy COW was it awesome and I heard that this time around its a lot bigger and with a lot more special effects. Can't WAIT to see what they do this year and we're bring all of our haunt going friends too! If you haven't experienced Dead Whispers before, you NEED to go to this year's haunted house at the Fairgrounds. OMG can't wait!
