Edgewood Plantation
Charles City, VA 23030
Built in 1849 and situated on the oldest highway in the US, Edgewood Plantation was used as a lookout post by Confederate generals who were camped at nearby Berkeley Plantation during the Civil War. One of the house’s then-residents, Lizzie Rowland, kept a watchful eye as she waited for her love to return from the war, but he never did and so her spirit still watches from an upstairs window, yearning for the day he comes home. Today the old plantation has been turned into a Bed and Breakfast where you can eat, sleep and, if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of Lizzie.

Reviews
Did a tour at Edgewood about a year ago. There were evps obtained on the property and I got tons of pictures of orbs. The third floor is especially spooky for some reason. One thing that sticks out is by the staircase on the 2nd floor, we were doing a flashlight session. When the flashlight actually started responding to questions I flipped out and went back down stairs lol. The mill is pretty creepy too.
