Longwood University is said to be haunted by a few ghosts on different parts of campus. Tabb Hall, formerly a residence hall and now the home of Longwood University’s Athletics Department, is said to be haunted by a man who died in the building. Rumors state that the Hall once housed an abortion clinic and that a man was murdered inside the clinic. His ghost still roams the room on the top floor where the killing took place.
Curry Hall, a high rise dormitory built in 1969, is haunted by the spirit of a three-year-old boy. While alive the young child rode his bicycle into the building’s elevator shaft, plummeting to his death. Now if you take the elevator up to the tenth floor and then down to basement you will see the apparition of the boy when the doors open.

Room 365 was a corner room just at the central staircase and the intersection of the hallway towards South Cunningham. I was in the room alone one weekend (roommate and most other students had left for the weekend). As I had just gotten in bed, all of a sudden it sounded like a hammer hitting on the outside hallway wall, just next to my head. I was pissed and got up immediately to see who it was. As I rounded the corner (8 ft from my door) there was no one in the hallway. I looked down every hall and even ran down the stairs looking for anyone. There was no one to be found. This was all happening around 3 a.m. 1981

One night I was reading a book in my room, it was a quiet weekend most people had gone for the holiday. My room was on the 2nd floor over the front door I could see straight through to the annex and stairwell. I heard a large group of people running and screaming down the halls I listened for familiar voices and got up to see who it was. I opened the door and the whole building went silent.....
I just read they tore the building down.
