Come find out why this year’s haunted prison trail story is called BREAKOUT!
(Can you escape the terror!)

Workhouse Arts Center Presents: 2019 Haunted Trail – BREAKOUT! This year, screams will echo across the 55-acre historic Workhouse campus, built on the grounds of the abandoned and notorious DC Department of Corrections Lorton Reformatory. Our frightmasters will debut a fully redesigned trail, spookier scenes and stories, real prison cells, and creepy characters all designed to bring our guests’ darkest fears and nightmares to life. Event also includes movies on the ballfield and our Ghost Bar for beverages while you wait for your time to enter the trail.

Very well organized; great atmosphere and plenty of activities while you wait. The trail was good! Actors were exceptional. Definitely worth the money and we would go again!

  • Totally a history lesson and a haunt

Bar and movie as you wait. Organized well. LOTS of clown. Huge maze. All sorts of sounds along the trails. Bus crash was a cool touch. I felt safe with the security every place...even in the parking lots. Better and more original than last year. Not your normal Freddy and Jason. Loved the “King Pin” at the end. That was the coolest outfit I’ve ever seen! Tour guide at the beginning gave a great history lesson at the beginning and I kept waiting for something to jump out at me. List to what she says and it makes a great story line. Can’t believe you put this all together fro scratch this year. Sound system on the movie wad fantastic.
