Conyers House Country Inn & Stable
Sperryville, VA 22740
The Conyers House, which actually consists of two different buildings constructed around 1790 and 1810, is presently operated as a cozy seven-room inn. Before the current owners converted the home into inn it was owned and by a man named Sam Wright, who lived here from about 1944 to 1964 with his wife, Martha. It is said that Sam’s spirit never left the home and that he still haunts it to this day; perhaps he’s sticking around for the complimentary breakfast!
