Lancaster Tavern
Lancaster, VA 22503
Founded in 1790, the Lancaster Tavern has operated in some form or another as an inn, tavern, and/or restaurant for the majority of its history, though it was a private residence for nearly a century from 1894 to 1982. Today it is a popular Bed & Breakfast as well as a restaurant for those wanting a tasty meal without the overnight accommodations. Local lore has it that one resident found the tavern so endearing that he never left; he gets up before the living every morning to make breakfast, filling the house with the aroma of bacon.

Reviews
My team (Portsmouth Paranormal Society) investigated this B&B. While setting up equipment we heard footsteps walking in the attic. During our investigation we heard voices and our EMF meters and Tri-Field meters were going off at the same time waking the sleeping members in the two suites. When we were walking around the building making an intro for the video the exterior lights were turning on and off by themselves and the camera captured it all. Unfortunately the video is not published on our YouTube Channel anymore. But this place is truly haunted and very active and all the evidence is saved in our database.
